Planting and landscape installation
Trees of every size, shrubs, perennials, native and low-water plantings, sod and seed, installed on properly prepared soil and backed by a one-year plant warranty.
Planting is the part of the project everyone sees, and the part most dependent on what happened before it. Soil that was compacted by construction traffic, grades that pond, irrigation that doesn't reach the root zone: those are what kill new plantings, not the plants themselves.
Ridgeline installs the planting as the last step of a sequence we control. Soil is prepped, topsoil is placed to the specified depth, irrigation is in and tested, and then the plants go in. Trees of any size are in scope; when a crane is needed, we plan the day around it.

Warranty and care
What we stand behind, stated plainly:

- Establishment watering during the warranty period is ours unless the contract says otherwise.
- We don't offer ongoing maintenance. We hand over a landscape that is established and ready for it.
Mountain conditions, accounted for.
Elevation
A palette that thrives in Glenwood Springs at 5,700 feet may not in Snowmass at 8,200. We install to the site's elevation, exposure and microclimate.
Wildlife
Deer and elk browse. Plant selection and protection are part of the conversation on most valley properties.
Timing
Spring and early fall are the best planting windows at elevation. Large trees and specialty stock are ordered well ahead.

Planting & Landscape Installation FAQ.
How large a tree can you plant?
Any size the site can accommodate. Large caliper trees are set with a crane, and we plan the access, staging and delivery around that day.
Do you install native or xeriscape landscapes?
Yes. Native and low-water plantings are well suited to the valley and are a regular part of our work, from seed mixes to drought-tolerant shrubs and perennials.
What does the plant warranty cover?
Trees, shrubs and perennials we install are warrantied for one year; plugs for ninety days. Details are stated in the contract.
